London
OMGAWD!!!
What a WONDERFUL TRIP!!
Professor and I, our daughter and my mother just returned from an Amazing trip to London. Our first!
I won’t bore everyone with the details, but some of the highlights were:
The Tower of London
ALL the Beautiful Bridges
A fun Bus tour through all the Burroughs
The London Zoo
The Museum of Natural History
RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art)
The Tate Modern
Shakespeare’s Globe Theater
And the Spectacular Rail systems they have in place.
Here are a few of the pictures we were lucky enough to capture.
So pleased you enjoyed your trip. The Science Museum is cool too. ❤ ❤ ❤

Sitting quietly in the Tate staring at “The Lady of Shalott” by J. W. Waterhouse and clearing my mind. A few very open minded high street shops are nice too but the kiddo might be a bit curious!

The Tate Modern was SPECTACULAR!! We went there on our last day, and it was a perfectly calming way to finish a very busy trip.
Didn’t do much shopping, although I did splurge on a new bag made locally by a couple that collect the old, discarded, fire hoses and make them into beautiful and sturdy bags, with the hose numbers still showing and retired military parachute silk for the lining. Having been a firefighter, I just HAD to buy one.

I love you photographs and so pleased recent terror events didn’t put you off, I was in London after the attacks and the City was full of tourists………. a fabulous sight which genuinely cheered me up 🙂

I refuse to allow idiots to control my life. I have enough trouble with my own crazy. 😉
We discussed our trip after all the attacks, but my husband and I decided it would be him and I between anything bad and our daughter. Luckily, we made it there and back safely.

I was a little apprehensive but terrorists must never be allowed to win.

My Daddy and I are traveling there in September and he’s never been! Can’t wait to show him the high lights as well as Stonehenge.

We didn’t get outside the city, but Stonehenge is DEFINITELY on the list for next trip!

Love the Tate Modern. It’s been 11 years since I last visited London. Been there four times, and want to go back someday. Glad you had such a great time. The pictures are wonderful.

I tried to comment when you first posted this but WP wouldn’t let me comment for a while.
Sounds like you had a wonderful trip and some great pics as well. Kayla and I will be London bound next March and we’re looking forward to it.

This will be my first time and her second. She had a blast when she went this spring but didn’t have to to get out and about very much. When we go next year we will have some time to go out and about.
Would love for you to share some places, thanks 🙂

“… the Spectacular Rail systems [we] have in place.” That’s genuinly funny. I love how we all perceive places we visit so very differently from those we live in. I’ll grant there’s some fantastic Victorian architecture in a handful of the stations, but … well, London residents would probably only use the word spectacular to describe the rail system in conjunction with words like mess, delays, under investment, over crowded and logistic fuck up!
But yeah, it’s a cool city other than that. 😉

I am sure you are correct, however, coming from a place that doesn’t even have that as a messy or crowded option, it seemed quite wonderful. We also lucked out to travel through some of the lovely architecture, so that was an added bonus. Thank you so much for reminding me that everywhere is wonderful, and shitty, depending on who you ask. 😉
