I just wanted to provide us both with some closure after our year long relationship. I wasn’t sure we would make it through, but happily, we have parted Great friends and will remember each other fondly.
Our relationship started off quite tumultuous when you delivered the BIGGEST snow storm in a century. I wasn’t happy that you collapsed all those buildings, but I was thrilled that nobody was hurt. Didn’t think you were going to allow me to go see my girl, but you let up enough for me to travel. Pretty sure if you would have known who I would meet on the plane home, you wouldn’t have been so nice.
You got along GREAT with my kids. You brought my son home for a while, as he awaits Graduate School to begin. Must admit, I’m really happy to have him home again. As for my daughter, You were SPECTACULAR to her. Our relationship improved this year. We got to travel and make some Beautiful memories together. You DID make her a senior this year, and I don’t like that at all. However, you also got her into her dream Summer Seminar, kept her safe during her first car accident, gave her second place in her State Archery Competition and gave her the leading role in Macbeth, by gender bending the roll. She was A SUPERSTAR. Thanks for bringing me and my kids such great joy.
You and I got to travel a lot this year, along with my husband. We had a Lovely weekend getaway in the woods where I conquered a great fear and went zip lining. It was one of the BIGGEST rushes in my life. Got to travel to see my girlfriend a few times and even got a weekend away alone with a GREAT friend too. Continued our tradition of camping with other friends and had a VERY special experience when we went out to listen to music and dance. Never hit the floor, but I DANCED and DANCED and DANCED. Watched your BIG eclipse from the rooftop and it was SO COOL!
Got to return to Burning Man this year, and besides the fact that you made it 109 degrees, had one HELL of a GREAT time! Met some truly AFUCKINGMAZING people and tried some new things that I NEVER imagined I would do. DEFINITELY going to watch the “Beaver Eating Contest” next time. I’m sure you didn’t know about the friend that snuck into my tent those nights, but we were just “talking” I swear! 😉
Our relationship has been winding down these last few months. Friendsgiving was a lovely way to approach the end. Good food. Good friends. GREAT times! Christmas was small, but perfect. Thank you for the intimate and loving atmosphere you brought. So, on our closing eve, we prepare for our final goodbye.
After several years of rough relationships, you were EXACTLY what I needed. You were soft, kind, simple, exciting, adventurous, sometimes exhausting but most importantly, ALWAYS LOVING! Thank you for being exactly what I needed, when I needed it. I have no idea what my next relationship with 2018 will bring, but I will remember you affectionately and send you away with a GREAT BIG KISS. XOXOXO
